Tuesday 18th November - Science

Today, we explored how sound travels through different mediums. We used our previous learning to understand how sound waves travel fast through a solid because the particles are tightly bonded. Therefore, the sound wave (or energy) travels through the solid quickly.

Wednesday 12th November - Music and learning how to play the notes B, A, G, C and D.

We have been learning how to correctly hold a recorder and use the correct finger placement to play Claire du Lune. Today, we learnt two new notes, C and D, and where they sit on the stave. Listening and playing the different notes helped us explore mthe different pitch of the notes. For our Christmas Performnace, we are now playing Jingle Bells which uses all five notes and a range of different values.

Monday 10th November - Odd Sock Day

Today, we supported anti-bullying week by wearing odd socks. We discussed how we all are unique and can celebrate our differences. We can each use our own 'power of good' to speak out to help others and otherselves when we recognise someone is at harm from bullying.
