The Role of a Key Worker
At our nursery, every child is supported by a dedicated Key Worker who plays a central role in their early learning journey. The Key Worker builds a secure, trusting relationship with your child, helping them feel safe, valued, and confident in the nursery environment.
They take time to understand each child’s individual needs, interests, and development, and use this knowledge to plan meaningful learning experiences that support progress across all areas of development. The Key Worker also monitors and records your child’s learning, celebrating achievements and identifying next steps.
Just as importantly, the Key Worker works in close partnership with parents and carers, acting as your main point of contact. By sharing information, observations, and updates, we ensure continuity between home and nursery, giving every child the best possible start.
