Sharing our writing with Year One

This week, we enjoyed sharing our disgusting sandwich writing with some of the Year One children. They enjoyed listening to our gross instructions!

Autumn 2 Week 4

This week, we had Sheena and Katie visit to discuss the Nativity story. They used puppets to retell the story and encouraged the children to consider what they could learn from it.

Autumn 2 Week 3

In DT, we are learning about strong and stable structures. We are going to be working in teams to create arch bridges using sugar cubes. Take a look at our designs :)

Autumn 2 Week 2

In English, we are learning how to write instructions. We have looked at the story 'The Disgusting Sandwich' and will be writing instructions on how to create our own disgusting sandwich! Today, we went outside to create them :)

Odd Sock Day

Odd Sock Day - As part of Anti-Bullying Week, we wore odd socks to school today. We discussed how this was to celebrate our differences. We spoke about choosing respect - treating other people with kindness despite them being different or having different views. We designed our own odd socks with our favourite colours, patterns and designs.

In English, we have been exploring instructions. The children gave each other instructions to draw a house. They then read a range of instructions and compared their similarities and differences.
