Spring 1

We hope you had a lovely Christmas Break :) It's been a busy one in Hedgehog class this week finding conversions between Fractions, Decimals & Percentages, comparing & contrasting and ending with some noisy scratch coding.

Week 6 Science

Charles Darwin Beak experiment- to understand more about adaption we became finches with different types of beaks. We had to use our beaks (tweezers, a spoon and a straw) to pick up food (marbles, counters and rice).

CAM Toys hedgehogs

We had a great morning making our CAM toys and I think you will aggree that our finished products look amazing. Thank you to all the parents that came to help.

Week 3

We started the week by reading to Year 3. They loved hearing about World War Two and were really impressed with our textbooks. 

We have also made a start on our DT by painting the boxes ready to make the CAM toys next week.

Week 2

This week we have looked at 'inheritance' Thank you so much for sending photos in, we have loved looking at the characteristics we inherit from our parents.

Week 6

Fraction revision & snowball fight 

 We worked in groups making alarms to catch Burglar Bill. Using our circuit knowledge we made switches that were activated when he stepped onto the doorstep 

Week 5

Candle Holders

We spent a lovely afternoon making our candle holders out of clay

Week 4

Week 2 WW2 Day

We had an amazing World War 2 day on Tuesday.

 This week we have completed our Anderson shelters. Working in teams, we created our Arch, used corrugated card to create the shelter and finished off the garden aesthetics.

Week 1

This week we have been busy creating our gas mask boxes ready for WW2 day next Tuesday

We also walked up to the White Court Hospital Memorial
