Otter Class Gallery

Week 5

In History, we have been learning about Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole and their journeys during the Crimean War. We created a timeline to explore the key events in their lives and work. We then brought history to life by turning our classroom into a Crimean War hospital! We pretended to be Florence Nightingale, Mary Seacole and the nurses caring for injured soldiers. We acted out how the nurses treated the soldiers and helped them get better, giving us a fun and memorable way to understand their important work.

Week 4

We have been so otterly busy this week the ipad hasn't been out. We tested different materials during science, working well in groups. 

During PE we consolidated our unit of ball skills. Using control to weave our ball in and out of cones.

We have also been very busy learning our 2 and 3 times table-counting on in groups. Ask your children about our very seasonal 3 x table song.

What a fabulous week we have had :) thanks as always for all of your support with their learning, reading and homework.

Week 3 

This week for art we looked at the work of Yayoi Kusuma and her dot painting. We created our own designs using otters as our inspiration.

Week 2 

This week we reflected on how we learn and approach new tasks. We learned how to use chopsticks :)
